Programs for Industry

R&D Vouchers helps small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve access to and establish collaborative relationships with academic researchers, research facilities, and other R&D performers. Through this program, SMEs will receive R&D vouchers toward the cost of projects including applied R&D, prototyping, performance testing against predetermined criteria, field trials and small scale demonstration projects.

R&D Proof of Concept provides SMEs with a program to reduce the technical and financial risk of research and development. This program will fund eligible ‘out-of-pocket’ costs of early-stage research and development projects. The focus is on industry-led R&D involving innovative technologies that are pre-commercial, activities that accelerate applied R&D through to proof of concept, and opportunities where there is a clear sight to market (i.e., ‘technology pull’).
